CARE INSTRUCTIONS
BOARDS AND PIZZA PEELS
Here’s how to maintain the beauty of your new board: wash by hand and allow to air dry; do not soak your board or peel in water. NOT DISHWASHER SAFE!
Our boards are finished with four coats of Howard’s Butcher Block Oil and Conditioner. This special food-grade finish is safe for all wood surfaces that come in contact with food. There is absolutely no stain used on our products.
We also add a coat of our own board butter, which is made from pure bee’s wax and mineral oil. To help maintain the beauty of your board, we include a complimentary 4oz tin of our board butter. We recommend periodically reapplying this finish.
It’s also a good idea to use one side of your board for cutting and the other for serving.
FISHING NETS
You love your new fishing net and we know you just can’t wait to use it. Here’s how to keep it looking its best so you’re ready for your next big catch.
Our net frames are finished with four coats of TRU-OIL. This is a product made from linseed plus other oils and is commonly used for finishing gun stocks. It’s a very durable finish that resists water damage.
You can refresh the finish by applying TRU-OIL with a soft cloth at any time if the net frame gets scuffed from use. You only need a very small amount of the oil to coat the entire net.
